More About Barbara

I am an American living in The Netherlands for more than 30 years. I moved to The Netherlands at age 24 to open a sales office for my Washington, DC based medical information company and got to travel all over the world to support our international customers. I worked my way up to global account manager with million dollar accounts in the pharmaceutical industry.

After a severe burnout - as many people experience - I wanted to do something to make a difference. I started my executive speaker coaching business called Successful Speaker Now after sitting through so many boring presentations, sales trainings and events. I knew I could help many of these speakers to:

-learn the important things to include in a speech and what to leave out.

-tell stories in a focused and engaging way

-deliver the message with confidence and impact.

I have worked with Fortune 500 executives from around the world in companies like Deloitte, Merck, Rabobank, Ikea, Accenture, Microsoft and many others. These executives understand the importance of storytelling in the competitive landscape and to also tell their own "hero/shero" stories for career advancement.
